_The Cosmos ecosystem is constantly moving, and evolving, and it can be hard to keep up with the latest news and developments across the vast network of independent communities. That’s why every week I start a thread to share and discuss news from **Around the Cosmos**._ _While I do my best to keep up I can’t catch every update from every chain, so I invite members of the community to contribute to the conversation and share any news that may have been missed. Together we can make these threads valuable information resources for the Agoric community and beyond!_ _Link to last post: [https://community.agoric.com/t/around-the-cosmos-may-15-2023/](https://community.agoric.com/t/around-the-cosmos-may-15-2023/)_ Playing catch up as I’ve missed a few of these posts, so this week will be a longer thread with news from the last few weeks around the Cosmos ecosystem. #### Around the Cosmos **Agoric news** - To start off, Gateway to Cosmos took place in Prague at the beginning of June and Inter Protocol shared a recap of highlights on Twitter: [https://twitter.com/inter\_protocol/status/1666483893355315202](https://twitter.com/inter_protocol/status/1666483893355315202) - At Gateway Dean Tribble gave a talk about “Agoric, IST and What’s Next”; which was shared here in the forum: [https://community.agoric.com/t/dean-tribbles-gateway-to-cosmos-talk-agoric-ist-and-whats-next/](https://community.agoric.com/t/dean-tribbles-gateway-to-cosmos-talk-agoric-ist-and-whats-next/) - For more details about the latest Agoric updates check out the recent blog post covering Mainnet 1B: [Mainnet-1B: A Leap Forward for the Agoric JavaScript Platform](https://agoric.com/blog/announcements/mainnet-1b-a-leap-forward-for-the-agoric-javascript-platform) **Elswhere in the interchain** Security first… - The Cosmos SDK team released a new security advisory for Cosmos SDK based chains - Barberry [Cosmos SDK Security Advisory Barberry - Security - Cosmos Hub Forum](https://forum.cosmos.network/t/cosmos-sdk-security-advisory-barberry/) (Agoric has upgraded and patched for this) - On the note of security, the patch was first shared on Twitter by Amulet, a security team that specializes in incident response, risk management and security coordination.
